Little Scholars Child Development Center, located on Capitol Hill near Eastern Market, is dedicated to providing children with an environment that fosters a love of learning and a curiosity about the world around them. Since opening its doors in 1993, Little Scholars has provided excellent, attentive care designed to meet each child's mental, physical, and emotional needs. The Center was first accredited with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) in 2000 and was re-accredited in 2003 and 2008.
The Center's curriculum celebrates human diversity and encourages the participation of all ethnic, religious, racial, and cultural groups. You will find these elements reflected in all activities of the Center.
Operated by the Library of Congress Child Care Association, a non-profit affiliate of the Library of Congress, Little Scholars is dedicated to providing high quality child care for employees of the Library of Congress, other legislative branch offices, other Federal departments and agencies, and other children in the community.
